SOLVED: PCSO detectives arrested 53-year-old Jeffery Ford for petit theft. Ford told detectives he knew it was wrong to steal the items.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a retail theft which occurred at a RaceTrac store (6650 U.S. 98 North) in Lakeland.

At around 4:00 p.m. on October 16, 2022, the man in this video took 2-24 ounce cans of beer and 3 bags of chips from the store shelves and placed them in his backpack. He then went to the counter and purchased a pack of cigarettes before leaving without paying for the items in his backpack.
