The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery which occurred on September 26th at the Family Dollar store at 2170 Bailey Road in Mulberry.

The suspect jumped the counter and pushed the clerk back while holding a handgun.
After taking cash from the register, the suspect left the area and got into a light-colored sedan (possibly a Toyota Corolla) which had been parked nearby.

Nobody was injured in the robbery.
