IDENTIFIED: LAKELAND: Attempted Burglary

Jul 30, 2022
Media Contact : Alicia Manautou, PIO

UPDATE: Detectives located the individuals in this video, and they have been ruled out as suspects for this crime.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating an attempted burglary that left damage to the front door of a residence in the Winnie Lane area of unincorporated Lakeland. Thankfully the suspects were unable to enter the home and nothing was stolen.

The homeowners were away on vacation during the last week in July when this occurred. At around 4:00 p.m. on July 30th, a neighbor’s security camera caught these three individuals snooping around the residence. One is possibly heard talking about finding another way into the home.
