A 15-year-old documented gang member, Quashawn Burgess Jr.** of Bartow, was found murdered in a driveway on St. Paul Drive in Winter Haven during the early morning hours of September 12, 2023.
It is unclear when he was killed, but he was discovered around 2:30 a.m. by a woman who was had just gotten off work and was going to stay at a friend's house in that neighborhood. He was shot to death.
Quashawn's mother was unaware that he was not home. She went to bed at 10:00 p.m. the previous evening, and he was still at home at that time.
