The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a retail theft that occurred at the Walgreen's store at 6730 US 98 North in Lakeland on Sunday, January 2nd at around 7:47 PM.

The suspect placed several items in a backpack and as he was leaving, he told an employee, "Don't start following me!"

The suspect fled the area in a silver SUV, possibly a GMC Envoy.
